Description

Now is an exciting time to join LiveWest, the largest housing provider in the South West of England. In addition to owning and managing over 40,000 homes, we are a leading developer of affordable and social housing with ambitious development plans for the next ten years.

From Cornwall to Gloucestershire, we make a real difference for people and communities, including providing services to over 80,000 customers.

We are looking for a Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee who shares our values of being customer-focused, challenging convention and delivering together, who will ensure good governance and contribute strategically to all Board agenda items, enabling us to continue to create a positive social impact and affordable housing solutions across the region.

With a professional accountancy qualification and significant experience operating in a strategic financial role in a similarly complex and sizeable organisation, you’ll bring high levels of energy, integrity, probity, and an aptitude for corporate governance. We are seeking a candidate with breadth, including experience in the social housing sector, as either an executive or a non executive.  Whilst previous chairing experience is not essential, previous non executive experience will be.

We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive organisation, and this starts with our Board. As women and those living with disabilities are underrepresented in our non executive roles, we particularly welcome applications from them.

For more information on this exciting opportunity, please visit join-livewest.co.uk. If you would like to discuss the role before applying, please contact Chantelle Harris on 07384 460191, Sandra Jones on 07826 404091, or Simon Wing on 07809 195 628.

All applications should be received by 9am Monday 3rd June 2024.
